Emilie Bourel is a French illustrator and print designer, currently based in Lisbon. She has studied Fashion Design at Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris. Since 2006, she works as a textile designer (she sells her textile patterns and works on commission) for children’s wear, women’s fashion and home décor and as an illustrator for stationery and publishers companies. Her collections of postcards, envelopes, and fanzines are available in several bookstores across Lisbon. Her watercolors and prints are also regularly featured by independent stationery publishers. She also practices plein air painting, and her travel sketches were published in a travel sketchbook magazine. Driven by a constant desire to learn, she completed the third year of the Illustration and Comics course, and went on to attend the Advanced Illustration Seminar at Ar.Co, Xabregas, in 2023/2024. Passionate about colours, her creations are inspired by flowers, landscapes, and travels, whether in watercolor or gouache. Her website is emiliebourel.com
